CASA DUCA - TURSI - BASILICATA, SOUTH ITALY
Casa Duca is a big town house situated in Tursi village in the old town La Rabatana. La Rabatana is the original quarter from which Tursi have developed, occupied by the Saracens in ancient times. It is situated north-east of the town, on a hill about 350 metres above sea level.
Casa Duca is composed of ca 120 m2 on three floors and a wine cellar in front of the house.
The entrance is on the first floor and from here a stair leads up to the second floor. The ground floor can only be reached from the outside, on the other side of the house, but a stair could be build inside the house without problem.
When entering you reach the kitchen of 11 m2 with a fire place. From here you enter the living room, 16 m2, with a balcony with a beautiful view over the landscape. On the first floor there is also a bathroom and a bedroom of 21 m2 where the stair is situated leading to the second floor. Here is a bathroom and a bedroom of 21 m2 with a terrace of 16 m2. From here you can sea all the way to the Ionic coast and the panorama is stunning. As can be seen on the pictures there is one part of the terrace with roof and walls, 21 m2. This part could possible be taken down and used as a terrace.
On the ground floor there is one old big room of 24 m2 with a fire place and an oven that function very good.
The wine cellar is situated in front of the entrance on the first floor and is composed of 24 m2. The two bathrooms are both in need of renovation as well as the kitchen. Electricity and water exist.
