Casa Immacolata - Tursi
Casa Immacolata is situated in Tursi village in centro storico about 25 km away from the long sand beaches of the Ionic coast. Tursi is a typical south Italian village with about 6000 inhabitants that climbs up on a hill. In centro storico the streets are narrow and picturesque and the view is extraordinary of the surrounding hills. The apartment consists of two rooms, in total 50 m2. The first and biggest room has a big window with a nice view and a fire place. This fire place is made as every fire places in Tursi, not very deep and with just a small hole. This can easily be renovated and made much deeper and bigger. The second room has a traditional cupboard made directly inside the wall and a balcony that faces the small piazza below the apartment. The bathroom needs to be completely renovated and there is no shower today. Also the roof in both rooms needs to be renovated but it has a good base and is made up by bamboo sticks and wood beams. This is the traditional way of building a roof in south Italy and can often be found down in Basilicata. Water and electricity exist.
