ROTONDELLA
Rotondella is a village with 3200 inhabitants that lies on top of a hill 576 m over the sea about 15km away. It has been called "balcone dello Ionio", the balcony of the Ionic coast, since there is a spectacular and beatiful view over the whole Ionic coast from Taranto to Calabria. The best place to see this panorama is from the Piazza della Repubblica in the center of the village.
The village lies next to the national park of Pollino and just outside there are wide and big forests with many cosy "agriturismi" where you can explore the local traditional cuisine.
