Casa Umberto is situated in Tursi old village, La Rabatana, about 25 km from the sea and the long beaches. It is composed of ca 95 sqm on two floors and is situated on top of the hills with an extraordinary view over the landscape and the sea. The first floor is composed of an entrance with a fire place. From here you enter the living room and a bed room. Here you have a balcony facing landscape and the stunning view that it offers. The Rabatana is the original quarter from which the town of Tursi have developed, occupied by the Saracens in ancient times. It is situated north-east of the town, on a hill about 350 metres above sea level. Owing to its intricate structure, based on a contorted maze of streets and lanes, the quarter testifies to the incredible expansion of Islam in this part of the region. Its name comes from the Arabic Rabad, which means village. The houses have preserved the ancient architecture and the streets are made of stone.
